A visit to B Bryan Preserve is designed to give the visitors and animals plenty of space to roam while allowing for close up viewing. Not a typical zoo as we have only a few species but big herds of them. Located on 110 acres, our animals are allowed to live in their near-natural environment.
Join us at 9:30 am or 4:00 pm (3:30 pm Nov – Feb) for an up close view of each species. We are only open during the feeding times and do not accept drop-ins.
Visits are available by reservation only. A credit card must be provided. The credit card on file will be immediately charged unless prior arrangements have been made. Cancellations may be made up to 3 days prior.
The 1½ hour tour cost is $35 per adult and $20 for all children 10 and under (including infants). Cash and all major credit cards are accepted.
Tours are held rain, sun or wind. Unless it is a major Pacific storm, the tour will go on. We are strict on our cancellation policy as we may have turned people down to accept your reservation. Please consider the policy when you book.
Call us at (707) 882-2297 or reserve online to save your spot on a tour.
What to expect on the tour
A tour of B Bryan Preserve is designed to educate our visitors. We start with a lecture in our circa 1800 barn. We then move to either a truck or open air land rover. Don’t worry about your seating position as we get out at every animal field to get you as close as safely possible for the best pictures and tell you all about the species. The tour ends with the visitor feeding the Giraffe.
Directions to B Bryan Preserve
To find B Bryan Preserve, enter Point Arena on Highway 1. Turn East on Riverside Drive. Stay on Riverside for less than 1/8 a mile. Our address is 130 Riverside which is on the left. Pull into the automatic gated driveway. Once in the drive, pull straight back to the barn. There is no need to arrive before your feeding reservation. If you get here early, just relax, pet the cat, enjoy the gardens or browse our small gift shop. The tour cannot start until everyone arrives.
Find a map and more detailed directions on the Contact page.
For your comfort, have a jacket on hand. The fog and wind can descend upon Point Arena in minutes and become chilly. Comfortable walking shoes are also recommended. Expect some mud during the winter.
Pets are not allowed on B Bryan Preserve for their safety as well as the safety of our animals. You are welcome to leave them in your car so long as the weather is not too hot.
